A. Follow up Training Program

The master trainers of IPTP team will continue "Training Program for Trainers" for next two to five years.
Resource Center.
The institute of psychotrauma Pakistan (IPTP) will act as a Resource Center. For this purpose it will provide the following services.
  1. Information literature on Psychotrauma
  2. Experts in psychotrauma handling
  3. Training Facilities
  4. IPTP will act as advisory body to the organization engaged in the care of earthquake victims including particularly women and children.
  5. Karwan-Hayyat Psychiatric Care and Rehabilitation Center (PCRC) Kemari in collaboration with IPTP will provide free OPD, in-patient facilities to trauma victims.
  6. IPTP Team wioth school
    Proincipal at Balakot.
  7. For Basic Health Professionals Dealing with Survivors.
    Preconditions:
    Health personal and significant others interested in and walling to support survivors of traumatogenic events, such as natural disasters ( earthquake, tsunami etc.) violent social unrest, war and family violence, age over 30 required no unresolved traumatic experience. Persons must be willing to learn through role playing Duration:
Three days of 7 working hours each (i.e. coffee and lunch time separate)
Title of the Course:
"How dose a health professional assist effectively survivors of critical incidents, or violent events ?" Course Content:
Recognize normal and natural stress response in oneself and others recognize traumtogenic stress reactions, know how to deal with such persons, how to manage their stress , accompany inform and assist them. Know how to use language to separate (and order) cognitive and emotional parts of experience, giving psycho education about what to do and not to do, and helping to find a closure of what has happened and how to go on in life (short term trauma focused interventions) learn how to use a salutogenic approach.
Group Size:
Maximum 24 persons for the first course-without co-trainer, 30 persons, from the second training onwards, with the assistance of Dr. Unaiza Niaz.
